I don't know why this would even matter, but the jobs were successful after explicitly setting GDML_SCHEMA_DIR, after sourcing init_ilcsoft.sh:

setenv GDML_SCHEMA_DIR "/u/group/hps/hps_soft/slic/schemas"

This is exactly the same path that is set in the script though...
I guess this is something new to try if a job ever fails.

Jeremy,

Since this schema is not changing, there is no reason that it should be read over the web. Why can it not be included in the jar file?
We really must reduce the number of special steps that are needed to run the software. Parsing an input file shouldn’t require special steps.
