@zvada : this is an internal eos problem (they return ENOENT instead of ENOTDIR), a plain xrootd server works correctly (returns ENOTDIR, which than translates into correct error message). Please reopen the ticket against eos in JIRA. @klannon : could you please let me know what version of xrootd client / server are you using?
