Hi Jeremy,
these compact files correspond to iterations made on several geometry
versions to pursue a better alignment (all of them were made by Pelle),
their name keeps track of the steps followed. Except for the latest
version 4-4 (which is the base for what is currently used), the most
important thing of the older ones is... their name. These files are useful
as much as an old geometry can be, i.e. rather little as far as the intermediate
versions are concerned.
My suggestion would be to shorten reasonably the name, and write in
the compact file as proper comment (provided it isn't there yet) which
steps were taken to produce it.
