__gxx_personality_v0 has no place in libntuple_slc6_PG_dynamic.so (it is a symbol from libgcc_s.so). After removing '-static-libgcc' the crash goes away.
Yes, it's an ICC build of libntuple, but xrootd is built with GCC as I said above. And it doesn't play a role, I can reproduce the crash with a pure GCC xrootd, ROOT, libntuple once I add "-static-libgcc" to link libntuple.so.
