Thanks for reporting the problem.
Could you let me know if the client you installed comes from xrootd.org or EPEL repo?
Since the 4.6.0 is still in EPEL testing my guess is you are using the xrootd.org repo. If that's the case, there is a really high chance that it has been already fixed in master branch. We are waiting for the EPEL release to be finally stable and then we will do a bug fix release 4.6.1. Could you try the RPMs from EPEL testing (xrootd-4.6.0-8 has respective patches)?
