Oh and all the “user” steering files were moved into the new git repo as well …

Correct.  There is no branch protection enabled on hps-users so you can push directly to the master.

Committing to the  hps-users folder doesn't require review of a pull request right?  Can you commit directly to the master?

Hi,

I apologize if this was not made absolutely clear in my prior email about this topic, but the users module in hps-java is *gone* now.

It was moved to this git project which depends on the hps-java distribution and is build separately:

I have seen several branch commits to the users area, but you should not be using this folder any longer.  Your user files need to go into the new git module instead.  (Or preferably just find a place for your classes in the main hps-java source tree.)

This means that if you check in files under the "users" area in your local branch, your pull requests on these branches will not be approved until you move the files elsewhere.

If you have any technical questions about how to fix up a local branch where you are still using "users" or how to run jobs that access classes from hps-users, then please speak up.

Thanks.
