Yup, I know. That's why I do far less testing than I used to. It also highly discourages other sites - I wouldn't dare give them an Xrootd test RPM. I always hand-edit the version first. To much energy is required.
Since no one uses the illegitimate releases - instead, renaming them so they look real - doesn't that increase the workload? Isn't it better to make them easy to use but also easy to identify?
