There is a bug with the vertex-patching which creates a NullPointerException, and it crept its way into the master branch (see below).  I think we should hold off on the release until this is fixed.

Norman, could you fix this and pull-request the fix (if you havent done so already), and then Jeremy can approve the pull request.

I just discovered that the hps-java Hudson builds have been down for some time.  The build node needed to be restarted, and also the Nexus URL needed to be updated in the pom file.

I’ve corrected these issues and I am running a Hudson build now.

I think we should move towards making an HPS Java release towards the end of this week, even if it is not the one used for the upcoming pass reconstruction.

We can tag 3.11 because it has been a snapshot for quite some time, and then 3.11.1, 3.11.2, etc. if there are additional fixed and updates that are needed.

What are the major projects that everyone would like to get merged into master before this happens?  Is it realistic to try and make a release Thursday evening or Friday morning?
