I'm using Xcache as an HTTP proxy layer for CernVM-FS repositories. The origin of Xcache is an XRootD daemon (I'm not using the HTTP ingestion plugin):

`pss.origin = cvmfs-backend.cern.ch:1094`

CernVM-FS clients are able to use the Xcache instance, but the repository replication process, which uses HTTP HEAD, fails.

This issue can be reproduced by making any HEAD request against Xcache.

Below are the Xcache configuration and log files:

[xcache.log](https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/files/2076318/xcache.log)
