I ran some extra tests. I get the same behaviour if I access the files using the XRootD protocol. The Xcache instance is configured to listen on port 1096. ``` $ xrd localhost:1096 Note: this tool is DEPRECATED, use xrdfs instead. (C) 2004-2010 by the Xrootd group. Xrootd version: v20180411-cdc756d Welcome to the xrootd command line interface. Type ‘help' for a list of available commands. ``` Doing “cat” on a file works: ``` root://localhost:1096//> cat /cvmfs/grid.cern.ch/.cvmfspublished Cb53d346027aee5533f5c8993bd1af3f2e9c57721 B44032 Rd41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e D240 S6349 Gno Ano Ngrid.cern.ch X7cf11f0be3dc247dde9db76f6a89b16dab7af622 H13f46d59d49a2fb899fdecf3ee5cb69a04a334da T1528279923 Me01f619afa84fc21e947137c84268b43ef229000 -- 2bd224239939733a594a2c51622bacce969159de D˚ahX—©fmO¶2°Ñj†V∑xgMù∆πDÄKoë=Rë√†Üvôo6†äntØ»¥∞dîdI§ˆpTH+˚KH^3J≥•xASåǢ¡I∏˜ó◊Öv]£Iüj@3|¶dú/)˙oúD"0k∞˜∞ÆyxCvôÖ√Ü!\flë@Å3hXlΩl…®q<™ >2å’Sõ”}&˛<¶”µjJy¥øñat returned 0 ``` While “stat” fails: ``` root://localhost:1096//> stat /cvmfs/grid.cern.ch/.cvmfspublished Error 3005: Unable to locate /cvmfs/grid.cern.ch/.cvmfspublished; invalid argument The command returned an error. ``` -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
