There's a x509 package in the Go stdlib. I hope it will fit the bill. (I was already able to load grid certificates with it so...) Yes, a couple of years ago I asked our legal dept at CNRS whether reimplementing something in a complete different language could be considered 'derived work'. They told me I was in the clear. But perhaps for this I'll ask @egormatirov to look at the code, write the specs and have me write the code.
