Well, unfortunately the answer is "it depends": 4.9.0 has already slipped a month and we don't even have a release candidate. So, if the release doesn't slip any more and doesn't require multiple release candidates and is pretty solid out-of-the-gate, 4.8.5 is not needed. My $0.02 is to go ahead and merge this into the stable branch and revisit in a week based on the progress of 4.9.0-rc1. -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
