Oh, rats ... I never submitted the fix above to be merged. Is this check sufficient (size > 1MB)? Error is not particularly informative but it should be clear something is wrong with the path (I can add "Maybe oss.localroot is wrong?" in the error message :) ). Andy said above that I should run an "actual stat" but this is in config for oss and this isn't parsed at all in pfc config.
