Hi! It seems that the xrootd python package does not honor --user setting of pip:
when using pip3 install --user xrootd , the -vvv shows :

running install_lib
creating //usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/pyxrootd
error: could not create '//usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/pyxrootd': Permission denied
done
Record file /home/adrian/tmp/pip-record-_pipizmk/install-record.txt not found
Removing source in /home/adrian/tmp/pip-install-6vzqv5cx/xrootd
Successfully installed xrootd

and of course the xrootd is not present
