Hi all,

Some of you remember Bob Traller, a longtime SLAC employee (now retired) and soccer regular (though not during lunchtime for at least 5 years).

Bob is fighting cancer and is at the VA hospital. His prognosis is not good, and I expect he will be on hospice before too long.  He still gets visitors regularly, and loves to see old soccer friends.  The Friday evening group has been doing a great job of seeing Bob and his wife and son, and doing our best to keep his spirits up.

If you would like to visit Bob, please contact Craig Lund (attached), who has been helping to coordinate since the visitor’s window is short and Bob is often unable to see visitors.  I am sorry that I don’t know which of Craig’s e-mails is best, so please send to both.  Apparently, it’s encouraged to sneak a beer in with you so Bob can have a little.  He likes IPAs.

I hope to be out at lunchtime soon.  I wasn’t feeling well today and didn’t go to work.

Best wishes,

- Jeff
