Hi ASTA users

The ASTA accelerator facility is now devoted to the MeV-UED experiment. The MeV-UED is now an LCLS instrument, and primary user support and experimental review is now handled by the LCLS Directorate.

The LCLS portal to the MeV-UED instrument is at https://lcls.slac.stanford.edu/instruments/mev-ued

You will see a lot of continuity in the technical staff. The main change that you will see will be in the proposal submission process, coming on-site and administrative user support which will now be through the LCLS user office and not through the FACET & Test Facilities Division.

We are in process of transferring the UED users to LCLS- this entails changing the supervision of UED users from myself to Ian Evans, the LCLS safety officer. From now on, please coordinate your training and arrival at SLAC through LCLS instead of through me following guidance on their website:
https://lcls.slac.stanford.edu/user-resources

It's been a pleasure working with you as part of the user program at ASTA. I know that you will find the support available from LCLS to be exceptional but if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Cheers,
-Christine
