Hi all,
For those that are not aware, I am running the CORE Science Institute at SLAC this summer, a weeklong science program for 7th and 8th
graders from Oakland. The dates are July 15-19, and I’m looking for volunteers to help out with various activities.
I have a mostly-finalized schedule at the link below, so if you’re interested and available please sign up for a specific time slot (see the link for options) by either emailing me directly or leaving a comment on the google doc.
The minimum number of volunteers needed per time slot is noted on the doc, but more are always welcome (especially for hands-on activities). I will confirm the signup by sending you an outlook calendar invite.
I’m also still looking for someone to lead one more ~60 minute science or engineering hands-on activity (time slot is Wednesday afternoon 7/17), and one or two more ~10 minute science or engineering demonstrations/activities (time
slot is Tuesday morning 7/16 from 11am – 12pm). Please let me know if you’d be able to lead one of those!
