Hi all, Bockjoo Kim (CC'd) at Florida utilizes the xrootd-multiuser plugin to allow Xrootd to change the thread-specific filesystem user when accessing their underlying Lustre filesystem. This works well *except* when saving the results of checksum calculation to extended attributes; in that case, a permission denied is received. Looking at the code, it seems that the Linux setxattr function is called directly - as opposed to being managed by the OSS layer. Is it possible to get xattrs to be handled by the OSS layer (and change XrdCks to use OSS)? That would allow a clean integration with Lustre at Florida.
