Hi Andy,

The error message on the client side is

Run: [ERROR] Server responded with an error: [3010] Unable to create alice:/02/06121/17b441d0-d304-11e9-8c3f-0242a3ceac7a; permission denied

In the /var/log/xrootd/proxy/xrootd.log I also see

190909 15:00:56 785367 XrdAliceTokenAcc::Access: Unable to give access for lfn - path not exported alice:/02/06121/17b441d0-d304-11e9-8c3f-0242a3ceac7a; permission denied
Just found out that with 4.8.5-1, I can write to the ALICE Ceph pool even without passsing the enevlope in the command line which is worrying. This is means that the reason why the tests succeed with 4.8.5-1 is because xrootd ignores the ALICE authorisation!

Hi George,

My immediate guess would e that the CGI information isn't being passed
through. What does the proxy server log show?

Hello,

I just found out that the upgrade from 4.8.5-1 to 4.9.1-1 breads the
add/get/rm ALICE tests.

on a Ceph gateway running xrootd@proxy and xrootd@ceph instances

Do you have any idea why this is? I attach the debug level 2 client output
from the two versions and the xrootd proxy config.

Many thanks,

George
