Hi, Please note that this has nothing to do with Spack per se: I can do this with Safari and Firefox on Mojave with the URL: http://xrootd.org/download/v4.8.5/xrootd-4.8.5.tar.gz Adding "www." produces the same behavior; using "https" produces an outright failure. Are you sure this isn't an onsite / offsite issue?
