Libuuid doesn't require a shared library on macOS as the functions are provided by the kernel. Using the shared library [has caused issues on conda-forge](https://github.com/conda-forge/root-feedstock/pull/62#issuecomment-550070120) for ROOT as the `uuid/uuid.h` header provided by `libuuid` conflicts with the one used by the macOS SDK and causes the graphics (cocoa) code to not compile.
