Libuuid doesn't require a shared library on macOS as the functions are provided by the kernel. Using the shared library has caused issues on conda-forge for ROOT as the uuid/uuid.h header provided by libuuid conflicts with the one used by the macOS SDK and causes the graphics (cocoa) code to not compile.
