Hi,

We occasionally get an error when we try to load ATLAS files via our
xcache server that are available when we download them directly. For
example currently:

xrdcp -v
root://lcg-lrz-xcache1.grid.lrz.de:1094//root://lcg-se01.icepp.jp:1094//dpm/icepp.jp/home/atlas/atlasdatadisk/rucio/data18_13TeV/54/b0/data18_13TeV.00349169.physics_Main.merge.AOD.f937_m1972._lb0658._0002.1
.
[0B/0B][100%][==================================================][0B/s]
Run: [ERROR] Server responded with an error: [3011] Unable to open
/root:/lcg-se01.icepp.jp:1094/dpm/icepp.jp/home/atlas/atlasdatadisk/rucio/data18_13TeV/54/b0/data18_13TeV.00349169.physics_Main.merge.AOD.f937_m1972._lb0658._0002.1;
no such file or directory

We use the rucioN2N plugin. The metalink file seems to be created and
contain the correct url.
I attached the parts of the xrootd logfile around this.
Last time this was resolved by restarting xrootd - at that time we had
the issue that many file descriptors were open. This time this seems not
to be the case.

Any ideas how to debug this further?

Thanks,
Nikolai
