Additionally, I think it also depends on LCMAPS itself. If mapping is not needed, but only VOMS attributes are used for authn/z, all of that is unused, which is why we went for the lightweight solution with XrdHttpVOMS and vomsxrd which does VOMS attribute mapping only and leaves authentication to XRootD.
