Actually, our existing configuration does not have the `-4`. It was a futile attempt to see if this was the problem (just from wondering if the error loading the library comes from the log message and the real filename not matching). But an `strace` then later on confirmed to me exactly what you said (that specifying the suffix in the configuration is nonsense).
