When XRootD is run in a docker container, and `xrdfs ls` from another machine different than the docker host, it times out. The cause seems to be that xrootd send the location of the directory as an ip address not as a hostname ``` [2020-06-24 16:14:12.217271 +0200][Dump ][XRootD ] [cc-escape-xcache-docker-test.in2p3.fr:1094] Parsing the response to kXR_locate (path: */, flags: kXR_prefname ) as LocateInfo: Sw[::172.18.0.2]:1094 [2020-06-24 16:14:12.217330 +0200][Dump ][FileSystem ] [0x17ea760@DeepLocate(*/)] Got 1 locations [2020-06-24 16:14:12.217488 +0200][Dump ][Utility ] URL: [::172.18.0.2]:1094 ``` Here is a repo to test https://github.com/pmusset/dockerized-xrootd-ls-error Already talked about with @simonmichal -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
