For future reference, in case somebody stumbles upon this in the future: - This went into 4.12.1. - Since it caused issues with existing consumers (DPM), the default behaviour was reverted in 4.12.2. - With 4.12.2, you can now set `ofs.dirlist remote` to get the behaviour asked for in this issue.
