@Tom-Byrne The older nodes, they probably have fewer cores and so pressure on the local cache is smaller. Does this make sense?

How many disks do you have in your WNs? XCache can be configured to use several disks. Usually the disk gets to be the bottleneck so if you can spread the load over several of them this would help a lot already.
