Dear all, Apologies for not saying more here. At RAL we will be working on fixing the vector read issue. We have also done some fine tuning of the parameters with our better understanding and it has apparently already helped Atlas jobs. Back to LHCb, when we used Dump for the xrootd log level we got a lot of information. However the huge amount of data dumped also caused failures. So we tried with log level Warning. But most of the time we now do not get any xrootd debug information even when the main process exits in the middle of reading a file (except for about 5% of failures with "Operation expired").
