Hi,

This looks strongly like TLS session reuse.

When a SSL session is successfully reused, OpenSSL provides the client certificate but not the certificate chain. If you are using a proxy, the client certificate is the proxy - and, as this is not an EEC, the DN extraction fails.

Oliver: you can probably confirm this by trying to trick GFAL to using your client certificate and not a proxy.

So, the question is: why is SSL reuse occurring?
