@olifre - I don't think there's much sense in running further experiments.  As @abh3 notes in his last comment, if you look at the `tlsreuse` patch, there is this line:

That is, regardless the value of `http.tlsreuse`, it is ignored as the session cache is hardcode to "on".

Knowing that session reuse is enabled when XRootD is unable to handle session reuse for grid proxies, the rest of the error messages make perfect sense.

One item though:

I think the latter half of the statement is backwards.  The session cache is hardcoded off in R4 and there's no way to reenable it:
