Eos has its own plugin, while I suspect that you have a good old vanilla xrootd there.

I am not aware of changes to the parsing between the two versions, yet if it's simple I can have a look in the next days.
Ah, could you please try the same with Davix?
I still suspect that the envelope causes a somehow broken header
