Dear XRootD community,

I'm planning to cut the 5.0.3 with backports of bugfixes from the master branch, I'm creating this issue so we have a place where we can discuss the upcoming release.

The stable branch has been already updated:
https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/tree/stable-5.0.x

Please let me know if there are any other bugfixes that need backporting to 4.12.5.
