Dear XRootD community,

The xrootd 5.1.0 release candidate 1 has been tagged, I'm creating this issue so we have a place where we can discuss the upcoming release.

The stable branch has been updated and tagged:
https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/tree/stable-5.1.x

the tentative release notes are available at:
https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/blob/stable-5.1.x/docs/ReleaseNotes.txt
