and i noticed a really strange thing:

aliprod@storage06: storage01 $ echo -ne "query config version\nspaceinfo /\nexit\n" |/usr/bin/xrdfs localhost:1094
[localhost:1094] / > query config version
v5.0.3

[localhost:1094] / > spaceinfo /
[ERROR] Server responded with an error: [3011] Unable to locate /; no such file or directory
