root@glogin ~ # xrdfs glogin:1095 locate -m /data glogin.iup.uni-bremen.de:1095 Server Read yes, i know 4.10.0 is old. But it is still operational and we dont need the bleeding edge features of the new releases. Also i know that i can retrieve the information from the cmsd.log file, but it would be more helpful in daily operations to get these via a command directly without searching the logs. Ok, to turn the qeustion around: How can i determine a dead node with xrd tools ? Regards Heiko Am 18.01.21 um 22:49 schrieb Yang, Wei: > How many servers do you have that export /data ? Does you redirector's cmsd.log show all data servers log in? This info should appear in the log right after the cmsd process was started. > > You can also use the following command, though this command sometimes give you IP address rather than host names. > > xrdfs glogin:1095 locate -m /data > > Xrootd 4.10.0 is old and I no longer have a 4.10.0 to validate the output. But I would be a bit surprised if to see a bug in xrdmapc in 4.10.0 since it has been there for a long time. > > regards, > -- > Wei Yang | [log in to unmask] | 650-926-3338(O) > > -----Original Message----- > From: Heiko Schröter <[log in to unmask]> > Date: Monday, January 18, 2021 at 2:52 AM > To: Wei Yang <[log in to unmask]>, xrootd-dev <[log in to unmask]> > Cc: "[log in to unmask]" <[log in to unmask]> > Subject: Re: List all xroot nodes by name > > Thank you for the response, but still no listing of the nodes.
