Dear all, I am reposting the C++14 announcement as the date format I used in my previous email created some confusion. Starting from the April 1st, 2021 we will be building XRootD with the -std=c++14 flag. On Centos7 platform one will need to enable devtoolset-7 (please see the instructions bellow). # 1. Install a package with repository for your system: # On CentOS, install package centos-release-scl available in CentOS repository: $ sudo yum install centos-release-scl # 2. Install the collection: $ sudo yum install devtoolset-7 # 3. Start using software collections: $ scl enable devtoolset-7 bash Please note that this means that it won't be possible to back-port some of the new developments/bugfixes to XRootD4, and hence XRootD4 will reach end of support. Kind regards, Michal ######################################################################## Use REPLY-ALL to reply to list To unsubscribe from the XROOTD-L list, click the following link: https://listserv.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=XROOTD-L&A=1
