1. Your absolutely right I will update the man page and the xddcl docs need more general refreshment
2. I'm not sure I understand, could you give an example?
3. I wouldn't like to change the order in which the config is evaluated as people might depend on it.
AFAIR if a setting was picked up from an envar `Env::PutInt/Env::PutString` will return false, and it won't be overwritten.
Now if I understand correctly you would like to be able to check if a setting has been picked up from a user config file, is this right?
