Hmm, no, neither LCMAPS nor any of the plugins was ever made thread safe and that's not really possible now.
Is there an easy way to protect it from xrootd side, forcing it to run single-threaded?
It is still a bit surprising that we wouldn't have seen this before in xrootd though. I'm wondering if we're missing something else.
