@juztas : thanks for reporting the problem!
If I understand correctly there are 2 problems:
using a setup with multiuser plugin + cephfs, xrdfs ls -l
fails if the target is a file? (no matter if the host is a redirector or a data server)
Are you using the 5.2.0-rc1, for this to work you need following patch: c76cc29! If you do have the patch and it still doesn't work could you enable client-side logs: export XRD_LOGLEVEL=Dump
and rerun the test and then give us the client logs?
gfal-ls
fails to list directory via redirector, but it does work with xrdfs
, is this correct? Is this the same setup as in 1) ? Anyway, this as this seems to work with xrdfs
it is most likely a problem in gfal
.
Let's first focus on 1) and once this is tackled let's see how we can fix 2).
