Hi @ijjorama,

It seems some sort of issue ought to be raised concerning this problem, even though it can be provisionally fixed by increasing the chunk size the dCache client uses to match the chunk size used by the native xrootd client.

While that change will make our users happy for the moment, it does not address the underlying issues:

(a) why does the RAL server send the extra bytes?
(b) why does increasing the request size (instead of decreasing it) solve this problem?

Can you point me to where I might be able to do so?
