> I also tried building #1586 instead, but I got the same errors, just during the `pip install` step later in the build. @TimoWilken PR #1586 isn't reflecting its true state at the moment (c.f. https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/issues/1606#issuecomment-1027598028). It will get rebased soon and I can flag you there to see if it is still a problem. Maybe you could open up a PR that adds a [`macos-latest`](https://github.com/actions/virtual-environments) job to the [`build` GHA workflow](https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/blob/bf645015fd7c2babff41b57744e2762e2575e021/.github/workflows/build.yml)?
