would you like to try out the master branch? I have merged in a simple improvement that should do what you describe.

That looks great, many thanks for this blazingly fast implementation! I will switch our test setup with redirector and DTN (so I can give it a real test) to a build from master later this week and give it some testing with rclone, which should be working with XRootD HTTP after this change. I'll let you now immediately once the test setup is running and I get some results :-).
