I am very sorry for a very late announcement, but I suggest we cancel today's meeting.

I do appreciate how unprofessional I am and failing.

My colleagues reminded me this lacks respect to everyone, especially but not limited to colleagues in Europe who stay up to possibly attend this meeting.

I will do my best to become a better meeting organizer from next week.

This is only an excuse, but there is an internal deadline for a funding proposal for which I have been running around since last week.

I may ask some of you to co-lead this meeting so that we can avoid me being a single point failure.
