@bbockelm Indeed, I also think this should work. I can have a go at this implementation, play with it in our test setup and create a PR (and link it here).
I was reluctant to propose this "reverse detection" approach, since it relies on the way the ACLs are translated to detect the token flavour and act accordingly (instead of using a dedicated interface, which however does not exist yet). Indeed this seems to be the least invasive approach.
