Hi all,
Tomorrow (Thursday 2nd June) we will have a special SLAC Theory seminar by Tracy Slatyer (MIT). The talk will be in person at 3pm, in the B048 Madrone seminar room. For those that can't attend in person, it will also be broadcast via zoom (details below).
Tracy will be visiting us at SLAC all day tomorrow, so do get in touch with her if you would like to chat with her outside the talk.
Tracy will be telling us about:
Modeling Energy Injection Effects in the Early Universe
Dark matter annihilations or decays could generate high-energy particles which in turn would reshape the history of our cosmos, leaving traces of their existence in ionization and heating of the intergalactic medium, and in background radiation from the cosmic dark ages and the epoch of reionization. I will describe new and improved tools to map out the early-universe effects of exotic energy injections (including, but not limited to, dark matter annihilation and decay), and discuss current constraints and plans for future directions.
See you all there!
Best,
Rebecca
