"Bad address" is the error text associated with the errno EFAULT. This 
errno is returned when an invalid address is passedto certain system calls 
(e.f. read/write). This usually indicates a bug in handling memory. 
However, in rare cases it can also be caused by hardware failure.

P.S. You will not find this text string in the code as it's returned by a 
call to the system funcion strerror).
