If that's the case, I got the similar issue with a "redirector-server setup". I had to tell Davix to not use the redirection cache because Davix sent a HEAD request on the redirected server instead of the headnode....

That would explain the errors and why I do not see the checksum requests at the redirector.
Still don't get why 5% of transfers succeed and manual tests are fine.

Is there anything I can do on the xrootd side (e.g. config)?
