Yes, as Marcus L. pointed out, switching to the OSG version of xrootd 5.5.1 instead of using the one in EPEL makes things work without any other change. However, if that is really the solution, I am wondering why not more people would have this issue.... Does anyone know what is different in the xrootd version of EPEL vs OSG?
