Indeed, I have verified that OSG backported a 5.5.2 patch to the 5.5.1 release that they distribute. The EPEL version does not have this patch. This is the reason for the difference. Once 5.5.2 is available, the EPEL version should fix this problem as it will have the relevant patch.
